What Exactly Is It?
HypnosisReality.com,
Updated 021220
Brainwashing and Menticide are very much considered one and the same.
Like the word "conspiracy," the term brainwashing has been
given an unfair stigma by many. What some don't understand is that
brainwashing is a reality and is easier to accomplish than most might
imagine. Hypnosis is arguably the easiest method.
Brainwashing, technically known as Menticide, was
first coined in the 1950s during the Korean War, as US officials became
suspicious that Chinese mind altering techniques were being used on captured
US POWs. It would seem that US officials must have witnessed something very
unusual taking place with these returning prisoners of war - something so
extraordinary and disturbing that it compelled the country to undertake its own experiments
into human mind control, with Projects Artichoke, Bluebird and MKultra.
While those covert programs were eventually alleged
to be closed, most of the files for the MKultra program were
reportedly
burned by then CIA Director Richard Helms, but fortunately enough some of
the files regarding the program's existence did survive. These were later
exposed in the 1975 Congressional Church Committee Hearings. In addition to
these heinous programs, there were also the experiments of
Dr. Donald Ewen Cameron and others, which would prove once and for all
that brainwashing was indeed a dark reality.
Another notable figure of infamous historic record was
Dr. Louis Jolyon West, a psychiatrist and hypnotherapist, who
is well known for his lifetime of work in the field of brainwashing, much of
it arguably on the dark side.
The work under these programs and by these two men has been
very significant and
quite substantial
toward the understanding of human mind control, suggesting
that brainwashing is indeed a reality.
In fact, brainwashing can be achieved
through various methods, such as 1) harsh electro-shock "depatterning" of the brain,
2) through isolation of the subject and repetitive indoctrination, or 3) through the use of deep
hypnotic trance
and direct suggestion,
especially with a highly somnambulistic subject.
Menticide (brainwashing) should be looked at as something that is just as bad for the human animal as
homicide. That may sound extreme for some, but think of it this way - in one
scenario the victim loses their life, while
the other, the victim loses their mind, their beliefs, morals, personality
and identity. Homicide is the act of killing the body, but Menticide is
about killing the mind, the destruction of an already formed sentient
personality - leaving it in a decimated, vegetated state, or replaced
with something entirely different. Menticide is a very bad
thing to happen to any human against their will.
Given the revelation that hypnosis has openly been lied about
to the public for well over 100-plus years, is it any wonder that few could
possibly ever truly
understand about the full scope and depth of brainwashing / Menticide? Aside
from occasional movie depictions, the
public has very little understanding about the true reality of brainwashing
(Menticide), although
most
movie depictions seems to be spot on with their portrayal of the subject.
There are still some who try to deny the possibility of
brainwashing, dismissing it out of hand as unbelievable fiction, just as
they've myopically done with hypnosis rape, but once again they would be
tragically remiss in understanding the true reality of such a thing as
Menticide.
As evidenced by the lingering misunderstanding over
hypnosis, despite decades of
empirical evidence that fully support the case for manipulative
trance, there
still remains to this day a very much orchestrated effort to deny its
existence, along with that of brainwashing. The public naiveté that
currently exists for
brainwashing - like its overall ignorance of hypnosis - could arguably be
perceived as a collective effort to actually keep this knowledge and awareness away
from the general populace. However, the information on this page clearly shows that
brainwashing is actually much more than just a fanciful fairy tale.
Brainwashing is without a doubt very real and is something that
sorely needs to be
addressed by our judicial system and
made illegal, with severe repercussions
for those partaking in it. There need to be some new, very strict laws on the books to protect people,
once and for all, from such horrific mental abuses.
When brainwashing is done against someone's will, it's an
undeniable offense, yet surprisingly and sadly enough, the law doesn't even recognize such a devious dark
horror as a criminal action. Our judicial system is tragically long overdue in recognizing
Menticide
and actually treating it as one of the most serious crimes of all time. Brainwashing needs to be understood by
every living person as a
very real, legitimate threat to all of us. It's hard to believe we're in the 21st century
and yet, unfortunately enough, many people errantly still think that hypnosis and brainwashing are impossible.
This undeniably creates a very serious vulnerability, especially for
the unsuspecting who still think this way.
So, what is the penalty for hijacking someone's mind, or
destroying their mind?
If someone did this to you, or your family, against your will, would it be a
crime?
Again, we have no
current law to protect against brainwashing
and Menticide. This is an
egregious lack of foresight by our judicial system and needs to be corrected
immediately. As of this writing, we currently have no legal recourse
for any such
crime. This is appalling and shortsighted, to say the very least.
To punctuate this point, it has to be noted that brainwashing and Menticide
are a very far cry from the act of coercion. The difference
is indeed very much akin to illegal fishing with a hook, versus illegal fishing with dynamite.
It is quite literally night and day.
It's an absolutely 180-degree HUGE difference.
Our judicial system is
horribly askew in its lack of attention to this very serious matter. We absolutely
must have laws against Menticide. This is a critical must
for any civilized, educated, aware, and compassionate society.
Just for the sake of
argument... what would be
the possible harm of such a law, versus not having any protection at all?
For those that understand
the horrible dangers of hypnosis and brainwashing, it seems a pretty simple
matter to address the issue now, as a precaution, and enact a law
that prohibits Menticide, as opposed to doing absolutely nothing.
Again, what would it possibly hurt to have such a
no-brain law. (excuse the pun)
In the interest of public safety first, one would think that it
would better to be proactive, as a safeguard, rather than to just
ignore it altogether. Erring on the side of safety is always preferred over apathy and ignorance. Common sense and foresight are supposed to
be part of sound jurisprudence. Let's hope that we find some very soon on the issue of
Menticide - for a much safer society. |

Brainwashing (also known as mind control, menticide,
coercive persuasion, thought control, thought reform, and re-education) is
the concept that the human mind can be altered or controlled by certain
psychological techniques. Brainwashing is said to reduce its subject’s
ability to think critically or independently, to allow the introduction of
new, unwanted thoughts and ideas into the subject’s mind, as well as to
change his or her attitudes, values, and beliefs. (Read

The CIA's Appalling Human
Experiments With Mind Control (MKULTRA)
History.com, by Brianna Nofil
On
April 10, 1953, Allen Dulles, the newly appointed director of the CIA,
delivered a speech to a gathering of Princeton alumni. ... The New York
Times had published a startling story asserting that American POWs returning
from the country may have been “converted” by “Communist brain-washers.” ...
Dulles had just become the first civilian director of an agency growing more
powerful by the day, and the speech provided an early glimpse into his
priorities for the CIA. “In the past few years we have become accustomed to
hearing much about the battle for men’s minds–the war of ideologies,” he
told the attendees. “I wonder, however, whether we clearly perceive the
magnitude of the problem, whether we realize how sinister the battle for
men’s minds has become in Soviet hands,” he continued. “We might call it, in
its new form, ‘brain warfare.’” (Read

Behavior Study: Implicit Attitudes Changed
in
Just ONE Hypnosis Session
HypnosisReality.com, Nov 12, 2019
A
recent behavior study, published in the journal
Psychological Science, has revealed that implicit attitudes
(subconscious behavior) can be affected by hypnosis with just one
session. This is a remarkable finding that supports the notion
that people can be reprogrammed or brainwashed. Hypnosis has long been
known to affect the conscious and subconscious mind. This study proves
it can be done with just one session, reinforcing the notion that
human behavior can indeed be altered under hypnosis. (Read

The
Realities of Mind Control
HypnosisReality.com,
013020
Most
people who believe in brainwashing think it takes a long time to reprogram
the human mind, but
new studies reveal this is not true at all. Implicit
behaviors can be changed in just one hypnosis session. In spite of the
existing evidence, there are still many
who say that mind control does not exist and is simply impossible. All one
can say to such a claim is that there are far too many instances and
victim allegations of brainwashing already on record to dismiss the subject
so freely. Many have come
forward over the years to tell about being brainwashed. When you take into
account on one hand all the numerous victim stories that exist and then on
the other hand try to reconcile the continual denial that still persists,
you are eventually faced with the inevitable question - in whose best
interest is it to deny that brainwashing exists? The fact that there are quite a few
out there who still ignorantly say that hypnosis abuse is impossible should tell you
everything you need to know about the current state of hypnosis. People have
been left in the dark. They have been told that people won't do things under
hypnosis that is against their nature, however, the evidence says something
entirely different. Perhaps the next question should be, are we really still that ignorant, or is someone trying to
keep us this way in regards to the true power of hypnosis? Who ever would possibly want to keep
it a secret? Who would benefit the most from a population ignorant about
hypnosis? |
 |
You simply can't call 172 hypnosis
assault victims liars. Statistically speaking,
you just can't do it. There are far too many of them to deny it out of hand. At this point you have
to understand that someone of sentience should be able to look at the
historical record and parse this one out and recognize the obvious.
Women are indeed being abused under hypnosis, yet we are still being
told it is impossible. This is utter bullshit. All one has to do is look
at the historical record. It screams of hypnosis abuse. The fact that
there are some who still refute the evidence is mind-boggling and would
appear to suggest an agenda. When the obvious is discarded for the
ridiculous, you know there is a serious problem. At this point, you have
to use the brain that the good Lord gave you and recognize what's
happening. Hypnotic mind control DOES exist. |

The True Story of Brainwashing and How
It Shaped America
Fears of Communism during the Cold War spurred

CIA
Smithsonian.com, by Lorraine
Boissoneault, May 22, 2017
Journalist Edward Hunter was the first to sound the
alarm. “Brain-washing Tactics Force Chinese Into Ranks of Communist Party,”
blared his headline in the Miami Daily News in September 1950. In the
article, and later in a book, Hunter described how Mao Zedong’s Red Army
used terrifying ancient techniques to turn the Chinese people into mindless,
Communist automatons. He called this hypnotic process “brainwashing,” a
word-for-word translation from xi-nao, the Mandarin words for wash (xi) and
brain (nao), and warned about the dangerous applications it could have. The
process was meant to “change a mind radically so that its owner becomes a
living puppet—a human robot—without the atrocity being visible from the
outside.” (Read

People Can Be Convinced They Committed a Crime

Evidence from some wrongful-conviction cases suggests that suspects
can be questioned in ways that lead them to falsely believe in and
confess to committing crimes they didn’t actually commit. Research
provides lab-based evidence for this phenomenon, showing that innocent

The Manipulation of Spiritual
Experience: Unethical Hypnosis in Destructive Cults
Linda Dubrow, Ph.D. & Steve K. Dubrow Eichel, Ph.D.
| 5 Feb 2018
The process of cult and mass therapy indoctrination may involve
repeated inductions of trance-like states of consciousness similar to
hypnosis. ... Recent studies suggest that memories, emotions and even
spiritual experiences can be manipulated while in hypnosis.
Environmental (milieu) control, social manipulation, isolation and the
use of prescribed consciousness-altering techniques are some of the
methods employed by cults to produce these altered states of
awareness. Recent studies suggest that memories, emotions and even
spiritual experiences can be manipulated while in hypnosis. Lack of
informed consent and questionable concern for individual needs and
wishes makes the use of these hypnotic techniques unethical. Being
subjected to repeated and prolonged hypnotic inductions can impair the
convert’s ability to make decisions and evaluate new information;
moreover, the convert’s altered awareness can “lock in,” and become a
conditioned personality response pattern. One result can be periodic
episodes of unwanted trance experiences (“floating”) that occur for
months or even years after a cultist exits his/her group. (Read

How Brainwashing Works
Science.HowStuffWorks.com, by Julia Layton
During the Korean War, Korean
and Chinese captors reportedly brainwashed American POWs held in
prison camps. ... The agent (the brainwasher) must have complete
control over the target (the brainwashee) so that sleep patterns,
eating, using the bathroom and the fulfillment of other basic human
needs depend on the will of the agent. In the brainwashing process,
the agent systematically breaks down the target's identity to the
point that it doesn't work anymore. The agent then replaces it with
another set of behaviors, attitudes and beliefs... (Read

How to Recognize and Avoid Brainwashing
WikiHow.com, Author Info | Reader-Approved |16 References
The term “brainwashing” was first used in the 1950s by American
journalist Edward Hunter, reporting on the treatment of American
soldiers in Chinese prison camps during the Korean War.
Brainwashing techniques have been documented as far back as the
Egyptian Book of the Dead and used by abusive spouses and parents,
self-proclaimed psychics, cult leaders, secret societies,
revolutionaries, and dictators to bring others under their thumbs and
manipulate them seemingly willingly. These techniques don’t involve
fantastic weapons or exotic powers, but they do involve an
understanding of the human psyche and a desire to exploit it. By
understanding these techniques better, you can learn how to protect
yourself and others from them. (Read

Brainwashing, its origins and its use in cults

According to Jeffrey K. Hadden, the concept of brainwashing first came
into public use during the Korean War in the 1950s as an explanation
for why a few American GIs appeared to defect to the Communists.
Brainwashing consisted of the notion that the Chinese communists had
discovered a mysterious and effective method of causing deep and
permanent behavioral changes in prisoners of war.

BRAINWASHING
PsychologyDictionary.org, by Nugent, Pam M.S. - April 7, 2013
What is BRAINWASHING?
Definition of BRAINWASHING:
n. a method which manipulates and modifies a person's emotions,
attitudes, and beliefs. It utilizes intensely-persuasive, even
coercive tactics in order to enforce these changes. Such tactics are
often utilized in prisoner-of-war camps and religious cults. See
psychological kidnapping.

method of manipulating behavior, brainwashing aims to indoctrinate a
person into a new set of beliefs." (Read

Brainwashing
GoodTherapy.org
Brainwashing–also called mind
control–is a complex process that overrides a person’s normal beliefs,
will, or desires and replaces them with the opinions or will of the
person or group doing the brainwashing.
What Is Brainwashing?
Brainwashing is commonly associated with cults and abuse. A cult
leader might, for example, present a warm and friendly disposition to
gain a person’s trust, then slowly break down the person by calling
him or her names, forcing him or her to work, and engaging in other
forms of abuse. This abuse might be interspersed with periodic
kindness in conjunction with isolation from loved ones, rendering the
person completely dependent on the cult leader.

Are You
Susceptible to Brainwashing?
CNN, by Michael Nedelman, Updated 1:08 PM ET, Tue
February 13, 2018
(CNN) Steven Hassan was a college junior in the mid-1970s when he was
recruited into the Unification Church, a cult also known as the
"Moonies." Hassan said he quickly came to believe that Armageddon and
World War III were imminent. The Moonies, he thought, were singularly
tasked with saving the world.
"It only took a few weeks to get
me convinced that the Messiah was on the Earth, even though I'm
Jewish," said Hassan, author of "Combating Cult Mind Control."
It wasn't until he met with
ex-Moonies, albeit reluctantly, that he began to leave the cult 2˝
years later.
"I was an off-the-charts,
fly-a-plane-into-the-World-Trade-Center-if-Father-ordered-you-to
Moonie," he said of the group's leader, Sun Myung Moon, whom the
members called Father. "I was sure they wouldn't be able to make me
betray Father. I wanted to prove to my parents that I was not
brainwashed or mind-controlled."
Hassan, now a licensed mental health counselor who specializes in
helping former cult members, said that just about anyone's mind can
be controlled in similar ways. (Read

Does Brainwashing Exist?
Jonestown.sdsu.edu, by Michael Haag, Ph.D.
In the last half century, “brainwashing” has taken up residence in the
English language, seemingly never to be evicted. And yet we are unable
to agree on what constitutes brainwashing or even that it exists. The
American Psychological Association, for example, has declined to take
a position on brainwashing as a valid psychological concept. The
courts have debated whether brainwashing is an acceptable legal
defense or not – mostly it’s not – and scholars have argued both sides
of the issue with no resolution.
But brainwashing is not going away. (Read

It's best to think of it as
a system of influences that significantly disrupts an individual at
their very core, at the level of their
identity (their values, beliefs, preferences, decisions, behaviors,

The Creepy Truth About Brainwashing
Grunge.com, by Debra Kelly
Brainwashing is a term that gets used a lot. It conjures up terrifying
images of people no longer in control of their own actions or
thoughts, of being forced to do things they would never ordinarily do.
Let's face it, there's not a heck of a lot we're actually in control
of on our journey through this crazy old world, but our thoughts
should be one of them.
The idea that they're not is more terrifying than your standard,
run-of-the-mill horror movie, mostly because it's much more real than
any ghosts, goblins, or homicidal dolls that make up the standard
movie fare. Brainwashing is very real, and even worse, it can happen
to anyone. The most common kinds of brainwashing happen in such a way
that most people might not even recognize it. How's that for scary?
Let's dig into brainwashing, but first, a disclaimer: By the time you
finish reading, there's no guarantee you'll still think your thoughts
are your own. (Read

Brainwashing: Signs You Are Being Brainwashed
(Without Even Realizing
It)
Learning-Mind.com
Hear the term brainwashing and you might think of government agents
‘turning’ unwilling spies against their own countries, or cult leaders
using mind control to manipulate their followers.
You might even go so far as to think of the term brainwashing in
relation to propaganda spread during the First and Second World Wars,
in order to influence vast amounts of people.
But what exactly is brainwashing and should we confine it to the past?
The term brainwashing was first
coined in the 1950’s during the Korean War. It was used to explain how
totalitarian regimes were able to completely indoctrinate American
soldiers through a process of torture and propaganda.
Brainwashing is the theory that a person’s core beliefs, ideas,
affiliations and values can be replaced, so much so that they have no
autonomy over themselves and cannot think critically or independently. (Read

change from multiple personality disorder. In full disclosure, some
therapists believe this diagnosis does not exist and some people with
this previously rare disorder do not consider it a disorder at all and
would prefer to be called a plural system. Only time will tell who is

[ Menticide excerpt from the front page... ]
Rape in itself is one of the most intrusive,
violent crimes there can be, and yet
rape
of the mind is
another level of crime that needs to be punished legally.
Brainwashing is
something yet to be addressed by our vaunted judicial system.
The question is: what happens when
your ability to say no is taken away from you? If someone
had the ability to wield undue influence over you and make you involuntarily give up your "free will," making you a slave
to them, shouldn't that be a punishable
crime?
If so, are there statutes currently
in place to protect against this?
Let me just note... there is a
huge difference from 'coercion' to 'brainwashing.'
The difference is very much akin to fishing with a hook vs. fishing with
dynamite.
The court is able to rule competently on crimes of money and property, yet
has been woefully incompetent and incognizant in adequately assessing
and adjudicating crimes against a person's mind. This absolutely
has to change.
So,
what should be the legal price for taking human free will?
To take that from someone, and
then replace it with servitude, this undeniably has to be one of the
most heinous crimes of all against another human being.
What should be the punishment for such
an inhuman and outlandish crime?
If murder and rape are two of the highest violent criminal offenses on the
books, it would seem reasonable then that
psychological brainwashing
should
likely fall somewhere within a hierarchy of the top three. One could make a very
reasoned, tenable argument
that homicide and
menticide can both be viewed as very similar - in the fact that both
do kill the individual - it's just that the latter occurs as a wholly
different state. In one, the victim loses their life, while the other
the victim loses their mind - their beliefs, morals, personality and identity.
So, where does our justice system draw
the line on a threat to someone's 'life?'
If we have no specific laws on the books for
hypnotic mental exploitation, what possible hope then does anyone have, should this ever
happen to them?
Needed
Right Now: as of this writing, there need to be new
designated laws tailored
specifically to recognize and account for this type of psychopathic crime
within society, along with the most severe punishment
humanly possible.
